Body Image & Appearance Anxiety

When how you see yourself in the mirror shapes how you move through the day.

For many women, the body becomes the quiet stage where harder things play out, self-worth, comparison, control, belonging. Appearance anxiety isn't vanity; it's often the place where a much older story about being seen, judged, or accepted keeps repeating itself.

This might sound familiar

  • You scan mirrors, photos, and reflections without meaning to.
  • What you wear can quietly decide how the day feels.
  • You compare your body to other women, then feel worse for doing it.
  • A compliment on your looks lands differently than one on who you are.

How we work together

We turn toward the body with curiosity instead of critique. Relational and attachment-informed work helps us listen for where the appearance story first took root, and Internal Family Systems-inspired practices meet the parts of you that have been trying to keep you safe through control or vigilance. Slowly, your worth becomes something bigger than your reflection.
